Yen Giang Communal House in Luu Khe village
Location: Yen Giang Communal House in Luu Khe village, Yen Hoa commune, Yen Hung district, Quang Ninh province
Characteristics: the communal house worships a village tutelary god who is a national hero Tran Hung Dao. Yen Giang communal house was built in 16 century and restored many times in 1952 and 1993. The communal house was constructed as the shape of “亭”(sino-Vietnamese word). The communal house includes five forecourts, three compartments for worshipping and one harem. Currently, the communal house still preserves some valuable artifacts like a porcelain incense bowl under Le dynasty, two stone steles embossed with dragons’ shape under Nguyen Dynasty, parallel sentences and six ordained papers under the Nguyen dynasty emperors.
The festival in Yen Giang annually takes place on the 8th of March and the 20th of August lunar calendar (death anniversary of Tran Hung Dao).
