Rung well and ironwood trees relics
Location: two ironwood trees are situated under the foot of Tien Son mountain, Quang Yen town, Yen Hung district, Quang Ninh province.
Characteristics: two ironwood trees at the age of over 700 and some landscapes named after “Rung” (Forest) are relics of an ancient forest area near old Bach Dang river. Two ironwood trees together with remaining relics such as: Forest river, Forest market, Forest well, etc. demonstrated that in the past the area near Bach Dang river was an ancient forest where thousands of poles on Bach Dang river were collected. Then, such an ancient forest became villages and fields. And now, only two ancient trees are remained. Despite the long time and harsh weather condition, they still grow green and fresh, full of energy as a simple statue. Under ancient branches, there is an ancient well called Forest well. It only takes several kilometers from the pole region to the ironwood trees; therefore, visitors usually drop in on here.
