Three tourist routes are recognized by Quang Ninh province including: Mong Cai city center- Tra Co beach; Mong Cai city center; Mong Cai city center- Po Hen monument.
Route 1 is Mong Cai city center- Tra Co beach with tourist sites: travel icon Tra Co Intersection- Binh Ngoc, Tra Co temple, Tra Co church, Tra Co beach, Xuan Lan pagoda, Nam Tho pagoda, Vinh Thuan golf course, Sa Vi boundary.
Route 2 is Mong Cai city center with tourist sites: international gate Mong Cai, Bac Luan bridge, milestone 1369, Xa Tac shrine, Ka Long bridge, a place where the first party established in Mong Cai, shopping in markets and Trade centers.
Route 3 is Mong Cai city center- Po Hen monument with tourist sites: international gate Mong Cai, Bac Luan bridge, milestone 1369, Relics of heroic martyrs in Po Hen, Xa Tac temples, shopping in markets and commercial centers.
Apart from three above routes, Quang Ninh province recognized 12 tourist sites in the Mong Cai city: international gate Mong Cai; Mong Cai trade; Xa Tac temple; Sa Vi boundary; Travel icon Tra Co Intersection- Binh Ngoc; Vinh Thuan international golf course; Tra Co communal house; Nam Tho temple; Relics of heroic martyrs in Po Hen; Ka Long bridge and relics of establishing branch of the Communist Party; Tra Co church; Xuan Lan pagoda.
Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh will evaluate and approve the management, exploitation and presentation; organize to announce tourist routes and attractions ensuring current regulations; and implement state management to above routes.
In recent years, tourism has been identified as a key economic sector, contributing significantly to socio-economic development of Mong Cai city. In the first 6 months of 2014, Mong Cai has picked up about 373,413 tourist arrivals, an increase of over 20% compared the same period in 2013. With the tourism stimulus program, diversifying tourism products, changing new facilities and the recognition of the tourist destinations in the Mong Cai city will help Mong Cai city in particular and Quang Ninh province in general attract more tourists in the future.
